Frequently asked questions
Let us clear your queries
The Shree Jain Youth League is a charitable, non-profit organisation based in Kenya. It is managed by members of the Visa Oshwal (Shah) community and is dedicated to serving underprivileged communities through healthcare and humanitarian initiatives.
JYL runs medical outreach camps, especially for eye and ENT (ear, nose & throat), It organizes screening, admission procedures, operating theatres for major treatments as part of its camps.
JYL’s eye health outreach began after the organization's inception, gradually expanding to cover rural and remote areas in Kenya. Their sponsorship contributions date back to when the first camp kicked off (noting a longstanding lead sponsor since 1980).
The camps are held in various remote or rural locations within Kenya, taking health services to underserved communities.
Each camp is planned in collaboration with local hospitals and community leaders. JYL handles logistics, equipment, volunteer coordination, and ensures medical professionals are available for screening, treatment, and surgeries.
JYL adheres to medical standards by collaborating with certified doctors and institutions. Sterile equipment, verified pharmaceuticals, and post-op monitoring are key aspects of their process.
All donations directly support:
Medical equipment and supplies
Transportation and logistics for camps
Food and accommodation for volunteers
Surgical costs and patient care
